The company began its history in 1910, when it started production in a new factory in Berlin (now Kitchener), Ontario, Canada. In 1920, it created a new standard and pioneering shoe production. It started supplying the Canadian armed forces in 1940. In the next decade, the factory went through modernization and innovations.
