FILA

Fila started writing history as early as 1911 in the city of Biella in Italy. It was created by brothers who named their company after their surname. The company originally sewed clothing for people from the Italian Alps and later specialized in underwear.

A sports legend with Italian roots

In the 1970s, Fila refocused on the production of sportswear and footwear. Behind the success of this brand was the tennis player Bjorn Borg at that time, who was then the world tennis number one.

Flexible sports fashion and stylish fashion for every day

While the 20th century saw the rise of individuality in sports, and tennis in particular, FILA was quick to recognize the role that appropriate sportswear should actually play. According to her, this should:

• gracefully support athletes in their movement

• it must be precise, but at the same time flexible

Many successful athletes, such as the tennis player Björn Borg or the extreme mountaineer Reinhold Messner , can identify with the liveliness, freedom and delicacy radiated by FILA.

Fila - partner of sports stars

FILA is still known today for its extraordinary relationship with sports and extraordinary talents. Furthermore, FILA is the main sponsor of the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart and is proud to be the official partner of tennis stars Marin Čilić and Karolína Plíšková. Until 2022, FILA will also equip the Dutch Olympic team.

Fila on the fashion scene

FILA's goal is to create excellent sportswear and underwear . However, the design also reached the fashion scene, where it inspired a unique understanding of the sporty look. Introducing rugged sneakers , FILA was a pioneer with its legendary Disruptor model. Since the summer of 2017, FILA has also been represented on catwalks around the world, initially collaborating with Fendi. In September 2018, FILA finally presented its own Spring/Summer 2019 collection at Milan Fashion Week.
