Grisport 's main technological innovations include the Gritex membrane, which is based on polyester. In hiking shoes:
• is placed between the textile lining and the upper material
• is permeable to water vapor
• is impermeable to water up to a certain pressure (approx. 2 m water column)
• the use of the Gritex membrane preserves the natural breathability of outdoor shoes and prevents moisture from penetrating to a certain extent
• Gritex is used for footwear intended for light hiking, i.e. it is not suitable for extreme or alpine conditions
