Ski alpinism is free movement on skis in mountain terrain combined with climbing. The binding of ski mountaineering skis is adapted so that the foot can be fixed when going down the slope, but also to release the heel when going up the slope. Ski mountaineering originated in Europe and is very popular in Switzerland and France. There is also an opportunity to try this interesting sport in Slovakia. Ideal conditions are provided by:
