The Icebug logo was created on a napkin in a cafe at the ISPO fair. On this piece of paper was a picture of a bug that became Icebug. The brand was inspired by a real crustacean that can move and climb the ice in any direction it chooses without falling down. In 1999, Swedish designer Eliza Törnkvist and her son David Ekelund, who ran a small shoe business, decided to start their own brand with a focus on producing excellent winter footwear: stylish, light and warm.
