In 1945, Toni Arnsteiner, after returning from World War II, built the first Blizzard skis in his carpentry workshop in Mittersil (Austria).

Some love them, some hate wearing them. However, hoods perfectly protect the neck, head and face from cold, wind and frost . Some are part of other clothes, sweatshirts, jackets or sweaters. They are mostly a separate piece of clothing . They can also be worn under a helmet or cap as additional protection .

Face mask

Hoods can be worn normally during cold winter days or as an accessory to sportswear . Hoods help maintain body temperature, prevent hypothermia and skin burns. So we can use them as:

• ski hood

• hood under the helmet

• children's hood for the winter

Balaclava for winter

Hoods can differ in the material from which they are made and their other properties, such as:

• flexibility

• breathability

• one hole or separate holes for eyes, nose and mouth

• reflective elements

• headphone holes
