Self-Defense bear sprays 

These sprays are used for protection and safety when moving in nature, where there is a potential possibility of encountering a bear. Bear spray is a type of defensive spray. It contains capsaicin , which causes a strong irritating and burning effect on the bear's skin and mucous membrane.

How to use bear spray

Bear spray should be a last resort. It should be used when the bear approaches a dangerous distance and is about to attack . It must be injected into the bear's face to reduce its visibility, orientation and breathing. It is effective against all kinds of bears.

What to watch out for when using the spray

In order for bear spray to be effective, the following rules must be followed:

• spray distance - the maximum distance to which the spray can spray the active substance; it should be at least 6 meters so that the bear is still at a relatively safe distance when used

• spray time - should be at least 6 seconds to hit the bear as effectively as possible

• cloud size - i.e. what area will the spray cover after spraying; it should be at least 1.5 m2 so that the entire head of the bear is hit

• spray speed - should be at least 4m/s to prevent dispersion of the active substance by the wind

The design of the spray should be ergonomic and easily recognizable . Since its use is a matter of time, it should be easy to use and have a functional trigger and safety.
