The brand was officially founded in 1987 in the USA and one of the founders was Stan Day . Today, SRAM is a global team of people united by a passion for deepening experiences and discovering new possibilities in cycling. At the beginning of the new millennium, SRAM also started to focus on components for road cycling, ahead of the competition with electronic wireless shifting.
