Snorkels 

We could characterize snorkels as breathing tubes that allow you to breathe normally while swimming on the surface and observe the underwater world. We can divide them into classic, semi-dry and dry. They are used for:

• snorkeling

• diving

• freediving

What are snorkels made of?

This part of diving equipment can be made of plastic, silicone or rubber . Some have a flexible hose that is flexible and will allow a better adaptation to the diver.

What snorkels do we know?

Snorkels are divided into groups according to whether and to what extent unwanted water can get into them .

• Classic snorkels - the simplest and cheapest and easily available. Their mouthpiece is mostly made of soft rubber or silicone. The main disadvantage is that water can get into them when diving or swimming in waves. They have no protection against water ingress.

• Semi-dry snorkels - they have the so-called a breakwater that prevents water from entering the tube from above. Water can only enter from the bottom when submerged, but you can easily blow it out using the valve on the bottom of the tube.

• Dry snorkels - they are the most comfortable and safest, but also the most expensive. They have a special cap that closes automatically when submerged and thus prevents water from entering the tube.
