A tennis ball is a special type of ball that is used exclusively for playing tennis. It is made of a rubber core that is coated with melton and inflated with air. Their surface is usually one-colored, before it was white or orange, today it is standardly light green with a transition to yellow.
Tennis ball characteristics:
• The diameter varies between 6.35 - 6.67 cm,
• The weight varies between 56.7 - 58.5 g,
• The bounce is 135 - 147 cm after hitting a solid surface from a height of 254 cm,
• Deformation of the ball is 0.56 - 0.74 cm front and back deformation is 0.89 - 1.08 cm.
In professional tennis, the balls are changed after nine games have been played, while for the first time after the start of the match they are changed already after seven games, so the interface is also taken into account.
