Snorkels 

A snorkel is a breathing tube that allows you to breathe air while swimming or diving under the surface . It can be purchased separately or as part of a diving set together with a diving mask and fins.

• some snorkels also have a valve that helps blow the water out of the tube

When to use a snorkel

Snorkels are used for a variety of purposes, such as:

• snorkeling - a fun and simple activity that consists in swimming on the surface of the water and observing underwater life. For snorkeling, you just need a mask, snorkel and fins. Snorkeling can be done in various places where the water is clean and warm.

• scuba diving - an advanced and exciting activity that consists in descending into deeper layers of water and discovering underwater attractions. For diving with a device, you need to have special equipment, which includes, in addition to a mask, snorkel and fins, a diving suit, a neoprene vest, diving bottles, a regulator, a depth gauge and a compass. Scuba diving requires a special course and certificate.

• freediving - an extreme and demanding activity that consists in diving to a depth only with the help of one's own breath and strength. For freediving, you need a mask, snorkel, fins and wetsuit. Freediving requires great physical and mental preparation and training.
