Bulhorns, or bicycle horns, are a special type of handlebars for bicycles that have a characteristic curved shape. They have a simple design and are made of various materials such as metal, aluminum, carbon and others.
Their main advantage is that they allow the rider more options to grip the handlebars, which can be useful when riding long distances or to improve aerodynamics . Some models of bullhorns also have additional holes for mounting additional elements, such as brake levers or gravity controls. This type of handlebar is often used on road bikes, but also on fixed or singlespeed bikes.
There are several types of bullhorn handlebars that differ in shape and functionality. The most common types include:
