Absolutely orthopedic, the shoes are flat on the foot like a board and just as hard. Without visible and felt wrinkling, the shoes cannot be pulled down sufficiently at the toe. So after some hiking down the hill, you feel like your toenails are going to fall off. Absolutely unsatisfactory! Honestly, I would rather wear shoes from Činan for hiking.
